Imagine if there were more than one group of false dragonets. Imagine if our main cast were false dragonets.

Obviously we know the prophecy is fake, so then what's to stop the Nightwings from ensuring there are multiple failsafes? Just make it so the location of the dragonets is kept secret except from the Guardians watching them and the Nightwing assigned to them and bada boom you get multiple groups of dragonets.

Dragons not born on the brightest night? Okay, you made the prophecy Nightwings, take the eggs until they hatch then give them back to the Talons.

What if the main cast is a failed group that unfortunately established themselves as the true dragonets in the eyes of the public.

Imagine if Starflight's book was about him slowly learning about all these false dragonets who do not know about the main cast due to being sheltered all their lives and Morrowseer decides to cut his losses and get rid of the failsafes in case anyone puts two and two together.

I finally finished the concept for Danny's Devil Trigger form >w< I'll show all the sketches that lead me to this. This is the front and back.

I drew some action doodles to get a better feel on the concept/design. >w< And I just love action poses. I imagine his tail works similar to Nero's devil bringer, except less smashing and more slinging enemies around. OH I didn't draw the idea I have, maybe I should. Where his tail will wrap around his arms providing him with a bigger blaster for his blasts that he shoots from his fist. Or maybe he could hold it like a gun and shoot it that way, as if its a grenade launcher XD.

Here some sketches I did before I refined the body on the lunar moth design. I tried to replicate the wings there when it wasn't working out how I wanted. My bf gave me the idea about thinking it was fun the one that flies not having wings- so then I was like yeah that would be cool.. Thus the idea to give him a tail was born. Which works great to make him look like his canon phantom form. Also was playing around with the inverted idea for a bit, but just couldn't get it to work with my skills. Reason concept art can be really helpful. Because an idea might be cool but hard to execute >w<

It's actually insane how obvious the double-standards in the HH-fandom are when it comes to Lilith and Lucifer. I have seen so many people villainize Lilith despite the fact that we know next to nothing about her while putting Lucifer on a pedestal, even though from what we see they're both flawed characters.

"Lilith abandoned Hell to live in Heaven!"

Lucifer straight-up abandoned Hell from day one. Until her disappearance, Lilith was the one doing the actual ruling while Lucifer was making rubber ducks and who knows what else in his workshop.

Lilith was the one inspiring and uplifting their people and making sure that Hell was at least acceptable to live in and not just a dirty hole in the ground. Lucifer never even tried.

We don't know why Lilith went to Heaven or if she has a bigger plan and what that plan might be. But y'all are pretty quick to judge a character who hasn't even had any spoken lines yet.

"Lilith is going to sabotage Charlie!"

We don't know that. Yes, Lute demands of Lilith to stop Charlie's plans for redeeming sinners, but the scene cuts off before we get Lilith's response to that.

And guess what Lilith's very first reaction to Lute telling her to deal with her daughter so that Heaven can stay on top is?

A displeased frown. You could interpret that as her just being annoyed that she has to leave her sunny beach (which is what most HH-fans seem to be going with) but honestly from what we know of Lilith, I think it's more plausible that she's upset about, y'know. This angel trying to strongarm her into stopping her daughter from achieving good societal change for their people.

"Lilith was a bad mother!"

Again, we don't know that.

And seeing how Charlie speaks of her, I don't even think that's true. Whenever Charlie speaks of Lilith it's with fondness and admiration.

Lilith is the person who inspired Charlie to found the Hazbin Hotel.

Lilith is the one whose love for the kingdom of Hell was transferred over to Charlie. Whenever we hear Lucifer talk about the Sinners he rules over, it's with disdain at best.

Yes, she's been absent for a long time in the show's present but let's be honest, how long is seven years for immortal beings? And before that she spent Charlie's entire childhood teaching her daughter to love and cherish Hell and it's inhabitants.

Doesn't really sound like an abusive mom to me.

"Lilith intentionally drove a rift between Charlie and Lucifer!"

This take actually annoys me the most, because there is zero evidence that Lilith ever tried to drive Lucifer and Charlie apart.

HH-fans really like to jump on the one flashback in "More Than Anything" where Lilith takes toddler Charlie from Lucifer to prove that Lilith supposedly tried to drive a wedge between them but I honestly don't see it? Lilith was literally just taking her daughter into her arms, can y'all chill???

Adding onto that, the reason why Charlie's and Lucifer's relationship is strained in the present is because of Lucifer. The show pretty much spells that out for us. Lucifer spent years holed up in his palace instead of talking to or even just supporting his daughter.

And when, after years of radio silence, Charlie makes the first step to reach out because she needs his help, Lucifer not only continuously badmouths her dream and the sinners she's taken under her wing, he flat-out tells her that he doesn't believe in what she's trying to do.

Really, if Lilith wanted Charlie and Lucifer to drift apart, she didn't even need to do much, Lucifer did a fine job alienating his daughter all by himself.

TL;DR It's interesting to see how many people immediately jumped on the Villain Lilith-train, even though everything we see and know about her positions her more as an anti-hero, while Lucifer is the unambiguous poor uwu Good Boi despite the show establishing him as an absent father and an abysmal ruler.

Damian wasn't even chosen by bruce to be robin and has no skill over than being a greedy bitch to Tim for no reason and it's fact that dick tried to send Tim to Arkham because he thought the Tim was reverting to joker junior which isn't fair because tin was just looking for approval after being abused by his parents.

4)Damian was raised by fucking assassins in a cult which want to improve the future (very grey definition of improve) he has cultural literature intellectual knowledge and combat skills that are overlooked by Tim drake dick riders like yourself

5) you must be fucking stupid because if you read a comic instead of living is petty fanfics you would know Dick Grayson never sent Tim to Arkham and he recommended grieving therapy like the fucking amazing person he is (yes I am a proud night wing glazer)

Satoru Gojo hasn’t bothered you, since the incident where he apologized. This was almost weird, you could go to school without any interference from him. You could be yourself without any interference from him. No self-indulgence from him could deterr you either. Everything is normal, your lunch timings, your classes, your trainings. Satoru is still looking at you though, observing you, watching you… but that’s all he’s doing.

“Alright, I think he’s just being docile now. For real!” One of your friends hummed, just observing Satoru goof around with his friends. Well, his best friend Geto Suguru also has started hanging out with him now. You glanced at him, and his eyes met yours. You could swear it is. If not for his annoying black round glasses. He smiles brightly at you. He is elated to see you happy and content for a change. There is no doubt about it.

Satoru Gojo has a big, fat crush on you. He can’t stop thinking about you & can’t stop but think the what ifs of it. He shouldn’t have been that way during your first meeting — but you just threw him off guard. No one just — ignores Satoru Gojo. Or just, treat him normally. “I see your eyes still aren’t wandering off of her, Satoru.” Suguru’s hand landed on his shoulder, giving him a soft squeeze to divert his attention from you to himself. Satoru sighs, broad shoulders slumped a little. “I thought she had a lotta~ spunk, Suguru. It was fun… until it wasn’t anymore. I just became an egoistic piece of shit.” He responds, eyes glued to you.

“I understand.” Suguru responds, his own brown meeting yours in his usual tender gaze. He smiles at you, calling you closer to him.

You blinked, why is Suguru calling you? Satoru is right beside him. You huffed, gnawing at your lip in a tenderized nervousness & getting up. You walked towards the trash to keep your well-eaten food plate & walked towards Suguru. “Hey!” You smiled, looking at him and then meeting Satoru’s eyes.

“Hello~ Y/N..” Suguru hums, his presence comforting & charming as ever. Satoru is quiet, but you know he’s gazing daggers at you. “Seems like you’ve gained a little weight—” Satoru snickers, and you frowned; scowling.

“No- I mean, you seem- happy!” Satoru sighs, “I mean, your face— was all— dull & bad & now it’s glowing so —” Fuck, why was this so hard for Gojo to just be normal. All he wanted was to communicate that you look good. He grits his teeth, “I mean to say… you look pretty.” He pouts, patting himself at the back for coming up with it.

You raised a curious brow, “You just complimented me? Interesting. I was fully prepared for another argument.”

Satoru’s face falls. There is no way he can undo the series of actions that he did. He looks at you and pouts softly, baby blue eyes humanly dilated at the sight of you and a soft sigh escaping him. “I know you said I should be sorry, but I meant what I said.”

You frowned again, yes you did mean it but you don’t have it in you to forgive him already. You had a whole meltdown because of him for fucks sake. Geto, who had been still and silent through this finally speaks — “What matters is, your sorry is genuine, Satoru. You apologized to Y/N and you aren’t nowhere close to repeating what hurt her.”

Satoru nodded, it was as if his grief was slowly soothed by his best friend’s words. You, nodded too. “I agree. I do trust your apology.” You hummed, and you could swear his dull eyes lit up excruciatingly beautifully. A soft smile escapes you at that. “See you both around.” You hummed, after hearing the lunch break bell.

A month has passed since, and you have only greeted Satoru in soft Hellos, His, What’s Ups. He has been patient but yes, just as consistent with his conversations. There hasn’t been a single day where Satoru hasn’t conversed with you.

“May I have your attention, please. The Cultural Festival is coming soon. We would need to decide what our class will be coming up with. We would need to decide and collaborate amongst ourselves. Ask our Senpais for help, help them if needed.” Your home room teacher announced.

The class had mixed feelings as usual, some were really ecstatic, some were — neutral. (Like you). Some were annoyed at this extra curriculum. The class rep stood up & started the discussion about it. Your fellow batchmates in another section had taken a play — the basic, Romeo & Juliet. The others had taken Haunted House, your seniors were in-charge of the Party after the fest.

Your class came up with the disgustingly mid idea of a maid cafe. Yeah sure — of course!

“Alright then, we need volunteers!” The rep cheered, glancing at a few people in the class, you included. You volunteered easily. It sounded fun, routine it may be. “I will volunteer too!” You chirped, and the discussion finally ended.

After school, Satoru & Suguru met you outside the gate, their group was hooked together on ice-cream. “Hello! Y/N!” Satoru chirped, ever so cheerful. You softly nodded, looking at him and hesitantly waving.

The thing with Satoru is, you don’t know what would tick him in the wrong way. After your series of experiences — no matter how cool & soft & gentle he is, it’s still second nature to you — to be alert.

Big legs walked towards you, enclosing the distance between you & him in a few seconds. “What’s your class doing?” He smiled, raising a curious brow. “We’re doing a Maid Cafe.” You gnawed at your lip a little in nervousness when his expression changed a little. “Ah- a maid cafe huh?” He raised a brow, feet impatiently tapping the floor.

“Yeah, a maid cafe.” You second his sentence.

“And — I’m guessing you’d be a volunteer too?” He asked, and you nodded. “Mhm, yeah.”

Brilliant. You will be wearing a fucking Maid costume & students from other schools will be eyeing you — fucking BRILLIANT!

“I… I see.” He hums, smiling back. “Well, have a good day!” He walked away with that. Odd, Satoru Gojo was… odd.

Meanwhile, Satoru stomps towards his friends, huffing and puffing. Suguru knows that his mood is a little sour. “We need to ensure they don’t fucking do the maid cafe thingy Suguru or I’ll literally kill everyone in that classroom whoever looks at Y/N!”

Hooked, Satoru is hooked. And now, maybe he’s not a problem to you, but he’s going to be everyone’s problem.

i imagine human simeon having a private breakdown over something minor like not being able to open a jar of spaghetti sauce, because if he was already weak as an angel, he’s even more so now. his whole life he was told his sole purpose is to help others, and now he can’t even help himself

SaneGiyuu Argument 3 - 'They hate each other!'

@roseameilatempest made an amazing and thorough analysis of Sanemi's complicated feelings about Giyuu.

I'll make my analysis from Giyuu's point of view. Giyuu doesn't hate Sanemi and I have no idea where antis got that vibe from when everything about his interactions with Sanemi shows that he desires a connection with him.

So let's start from the beginning.

Season 1 Episode 22

Giyuu ignores the hounding of the other Hashiras about Tanjiro and Nezuko.

Looks off to the side, not saying anything, just ignoring them for the most part.

Until that is, he hears the sexy voice of his boo.

Then we see him respond by sneaking a glance, hmmmmmm. He wouldn't do that if it was the voice of someone he hated. You might say that he sensed that Sanemi was carrying Nezuko's box but no, Giyuu doesn't have super hearing or smell like Zenitsu or Tanjiro. It was Sanemi's voice he responded to.

During the Taisho secret segment, the only time he talks is to tease Sanemi, he wouldn't do that if he hated him.

Light Novel 2 - One-Winged Butterfly, Chapter 5

The Master expressed his worry that Giyuu doesn't smile and requested for the Hashiras to make him do so in hopes that Giyuu will bond with the rest of the group. The hashiras try various methods to make Giyuu laugh and fail including Mitsuri who TICKLES Giyuu! I wish I could see that scene get animated 😂

Shinobu then gets the idea to ask Sanemi to ask Giyuu ou- I mean, ask him to eat his favorite food salmon stewed with daikon with him. It's funny how shinobu went to Sanemi when she would have easily gone to Rengoku, Mitsuri or even Uzui who love to go out and eat but no she asks Sanemi. My theory is that she knows Giyuu likes Sanemi and eating his favorite food with his crush will definitely make him happy.

But of course, it doesn't go well.

Giyuu wouldn't even think of going to eat with Sanemi if he hated him.

Season 5 Episode 1

Giyuu has no problem talking back to and making fun of Sanemi, Sanemi is literally the only one he makes the effort to talk to of his own volition. It's almost like a guy teasing his crush.

Again, if he hated Sanemi he wouldn't bother talking to him.

Season 5 Episode 7

Now this is where the main shit is so let's break it down. First take a look at Giyuu's body language. Giyuu is known to be a stoic dude, even when he's not around people or around people he's comfortable with like Tanjiro(bestest boy ❤) he always has a calm and collected demeanor.

But after the encounter with Sanemi, he seems so small and unsure. This is Giyuu at his most vulnerable.

It makes sense that he allows Tanjiro to see this part of him due to them growing closer since episode 2.

In this scene look how his eyes close in sadness/pain when he talks about Sanemi being angry.

Then he comes up with the weird idea to put ohagi in his sleeve to give to Sanemi the next time he meets him. Look how his smile softened when he pictures Sanemi's smile. Yep, pure hatred. I too smile fondly when I picture my enemy's smile as I give them their favorite food.

Side note: there's this weird thing online where I see people infantilizing Giyuu in that uwu-he-just-wants-a-fwend way and just no. Like yeah, the way he was drawn in this entire exchange is cute but he's still a grown man. He's not being all cute uwu at making a friend, he is attracted to Sanemi. Tanjiro (bestest boy ❤) has the expression of someone who wants to make Sanemi his friend, Giyuu does not.

Also, food and sharing food with loved ones is a big deal in Japan and by extension Demon Slayer(I plan to make a post about it). It's a way to express love and build connections. So it makes sense that Giyuu sees the ohagi as a way to connect with Sanemi since words fail him.

So anyway that all I have as evidence - NOT!

Light Novel 2 - One-Winged Butterfly, Chapter 5(again!)

This takes place right after Tanjiro(bestest boy ❤) got punched by Sanemi. He's training with Giyuu and they decide to take a break and talk....about Sanemi.

When their conversation gears towards the training, Giyuu abruptly asks about Tanjiro's(bestest boy ❤) restraining order.

After recounting the story where the other Hashiras were trying to make him laugh, he asks

And Tanjiro(bestest boy ❤) responds

And guess what he does in the future

In Conclusion, this argument can also kiss my ass!

His tail is also much shorter than most cats. I am a round fire lover but I think him having spiky fur just fits. Still I think I managed to sneak some curve into his design. In my rewrite he is trans masc, bi and is dating both sand and dust, his mentor is also changed to long tail because I think they would have had a great dynamic and it’s a shame we didn’t get to see more of it ( also because I hate the fact he didn’t really have an official mentor)

Yea I don't how people can hate on kelly so much but still be a max fan...like if she's so shitty, and racist/transphobic/a crap mother/toxic/whatever else you think, what does it say about max that this is the person he chooses to be with. Charles also gets such a free pass, multiple cheater/homewrecker allegations thrown at charlotte and now alex, but very little focus on him being the cheater too (allegedly, I've no idea if anyone actually cheated, it just seems all the hate is thrown at the girls and Charles is an innocent uwu)

I think they're all rich and out of touch <3 Charles, I think, does the thing where he always has a girl waiting in the wings before he drops his current girlfriend, but I don't believe there's definitive proof of him actually cheating. Which, if there was, it'd be on him and not on the girls. I think Alexandra also liked problematic tweets when she was 16, which point to her being tone deaf about issues of racism (or at least she was as a teenager) but Charles as a whole ass adult threw a fit when asked to kneel for BLM and we are choosing to ignore that, so. With Kelly there's the added drama of her giving that dumbass quote about being drawn magically by barely legal Max or whatever, so people make it the cornerstone of Why She's Problematic, when she was in a committed relationship at the time and chose years later to rewrite history pretending she Knew Max Was The One All Along... cringe but who cares. Considering the benefit of the doubt that's extended to Max's own problematic statements, the double standard irks me. Like, I remember that big doc making the rounds about all the problematic stuff Kelly did and some of the entries were like "at 19 her LinkedIn said she interned at Oxfam but she was just working at the gift shop" ... girl you're reaching too far

Hazbin Hotel Ep1 Rewrite

Okay, let’s get the shit I like first out of the way. Animation? Beautiful. Art style? Iconic. Music? Pops off.

Okay, now the fun part…

First let me just say, I adore biblical lore. So when I see something changed from the og lore, where I think the og was more interesting, I cannot let it go.

(I’m gonna focus on the Charlie storyline in the episode)

1. The Backstory

Let’s start with the first scene, the backstory of Lucifer and Lilith. In the show, they got some of the timeline and motivations wrong. I understand that the story is sugar coated, but hear me out.

“Once upon a time, there was a dazzling kingdom protected by golden gates, known as Heaven. Home to beings of pure light. Angels that worshiped good and lived in peace and harmony under the rule of God. The most beautiful of the Angels was Lucifer. He was a dreamer, with fantastical ideas for all creation. But he was restricted by God and the elders of Heaven, for they felt his way of thinking was dangerous to the order of their world.

Outraged by this injustice, Lucifer gathered an army of Angels, and declared war on the kingdom of Heaven. The battle raged on for centuries, but in the end, Heaven reigned victorious. As punishment for their betrayal, Lucifer and his army were cast out of Heaven. Banished to a crumbling wasteland, where the light of God could not reach. But Lucifer would not wallow in failure. From the barren landscape he rose a beautiful golden palace, crowned himself king and crafted a plan to share his freedom with God’s newest creation. Humanity.”

(I like to imagine that when Lucifer and his army fell, their wings burned up, leaving scattered feathers everywhere. In order to fly to Eden, Lucifer gathered these burned feathers and turned them into a new pair of wings for himself. They were black, messy, and trailed billowing smoke, but they could fly.)

Now for the Lilith part of the story. The more popular interpretation of her is that she is the first wife of Adam, but there is another version too, one where she is Adam’s second Wife after Eve. I personally prefer the latter because I can’t see anyone sinning or getting cast out of Edan before Eve eats the apple.

“He approached the garden of Edan in disguise, and offered the forbidden fruit of knowledge to the mother of humanity, Eve, who gladly accepted. But with the gift of knowledge and freedom, came a terrible curse. Evil bleed into the earth, and humanity was infected by darkness and sin.

For her disobedience Eve was cast out of Edan, to the dismay of her love, Adam. To appease him, the Angels crafted him a new bride, Lilith. Lilith was beautiful, with a voice so enchanting even Lucifer was mesmerized, but she was strong willed and refused to be subservient to her new husband. She fled from the garden, and rather than chase her, Adam found the tree of knowledge and bit into the forbidden fruit, so he could follow his true love, and be with her once more.

Lilith wandered, lost and alone, until she was found by Lucifer. Enamored by her beauty and iron will, he gave her his heart and made her his queen.”

Then you have the bit about Lucifer becoming depressed while Lilith thrived in Hell. I hate this! I was looking forward to a demonic Mortica and Gomez, not another Stolas and Stella. Plus, I’ve never been a fan of uwu sad misunderstood Lucifer. He is a complex character, but too often he’s over simplified by people who read Paradise Lost in high school and misinterpreted Lucifer as a tragic anti hero who was treated unfairly by the evil Angels. Lucifer can be tragic, even sympathetic. He can be fun and a caring father. But don’t forget that he is king of Hell. He is the prince of pride. He has an ego the size of east Texas and waged war against God himself.

And let’s not forget that in the show he is the head honcho over a strict cast system that encourages violence, allows the worst of the worst to take power, and leaves the hellborn races at the bottom at a severe disadvantage.

In this rewrite, Lucifer and Lilith essentially switch places, except Lilith isn’t a pathetic push over, she’s an incredibly famous rockstar, who’s always busy and not around often, but still has a bigger role in her daughter’s life than her husband, who’s been mia doing king shit.

And the last thing we hear about in the intro monologue is that the exterminations happens to prevent Hell from rising against them, which while that may be the case, don’t have Charlie say it!!! That realization for her would make the entire hotel superfluous! Charlie has to think that the problem truly is overpopulation.

2. Meeting with Adam

Let’s start with Adam himself. I hate this character. Especially as an adaptation of Adam. Yes, Adam is misogynistic. He expected Lilith to be subservient to him, but he wouldn’t be the frat boy type of misogynist, he’d be the old school chivalrous type. Grandpa style sexism. And shouldn’t the father of humanity care about his descendants? It doesn’t make any sense for him to be an executioner. He should be the leader of the guardian Angels or something.

In this rewrite, Adam is not the leader of the executioners, instead it’s the Angel Dumah. Dumah is the angel over the wicked dead, and he was appointed by God to torment sinners in Hell.

I want him to be an actual intimidating antagonist. He rarely speaks (his name means “silence”) and has many eyes (is described as having a thousand eyes)

As for the exorcists, they are Angels, but not actual dead humans wearing mask. They just look like that. Dumah is described as having tens of thousands of Angels of Destruction at his disposal. That’s what the exorcists are going to be, but instead of thousands, I’ll give him five. They don’t speak and are hardly sentient. They stand on top of the tower like gargoyles, until they “come to life” for the execution.

“But it’s a comedy! Shouldn’t they be funny?” No. It’s all about how characters react to them. The Litch in Adventure Time is a good example of this.

So obviously the meeting goes a lot differently.

Charlie gets a call, looks at the number, and excitedly tells everyone to, “shooooosh!” She takes the call nervously, saying, “yeah! Okay! Yes! Of course! I’ll be right there! Thank you SOOO much!!!” She hangs up and happily tells Vaggie that Dumah requested a meeting with her. Vaggie is nervous and says she should probably go with her, but Charlie says that she’ll be fine and tells her to stay and work on the commercial. She leaves excited that the Angels may finally be taking her seriously.

She makes it to the clock tower’s board room, where Dumah sits silently at the end of the table. Charlie nervously starts to greet him before she realizes they’re not alone. The Angels, Gabriel and Uriel have come from Heaven, for a meeting with Hell’s princess.

Uriel remains professional, politely bowing her head as she greeted Charlie. Gabriel on the other hand, threw his arms out, happily yelling, “Charlotte!!!” He wrapped her in an uncomfortably tight and awkward hug, saying how much she’s grown since he last saw her. He’s like a chill but estranged uncle meeting his now adult niece who he hasn’t seen since she was a baby and has no memory of him whatsoever.

Uriel watches the whole thing in embarrassment. She tells Charlie that Dumah had contacted them, regarding some, “interesting,” ideas about the extermination.

Charlie starts with her pitch, but Gabriel insists that they should take some time to catch up first. He claps his hands and summons plates of food for everyone. When we cut back to them, Gabriel is in the middle of telling the story about almost getting his ass kicked by Joseph when he told him his virgin wife was pregnant.

Uriel cuts him off, saying she doesn’t need to hear this story for the eighth millionth time. She turns to Charlie, exasperated, and tells her to get on with the pitch.

Charlie says that she has a potential solution for the over population problem in Hell. Uriel, Gabriel, and Dumah look at her blankly. Gabriel asks, “overpopulation?”

Charlie goes on to explain that she knows overpopulation is a big problem, but 275 sinners were executed this year alone and she just can’t stand to watch her people be slaughtered anymore.

Uriel asks if she’s suggesting an alternative, and Charlie very excitedly pitches her idea for the hotel. Uriel and Gabriel wear a matching “wtf” face and look back and forth at eachother like, “does this girl know what she’s suggesting?”

As Charlie is finishing, Uriel is visibly annoyed. She interrupts Charlie, complaining that this is ridiculous and has all been a massive waste of time as she stands up to leave. Charlie tries to stop her, saying, “please, you don’t understand.”

Uriel snaps back, “no, you don’t understand! They had their chance in life and they earned damnation.”

Charlie responds, “you're wrong. Sinners made mistakes, sure, but everyone makes mistakes.”

Uriel pinches the bridge of her nose (or where a nose would be on a person) “a mistake happens once. It’s an accident, an error in judgment due to naivety. Of course mistakes can be forgiven, but we’re not talking about mistakes, are we? These sinners had a choice, and they chose to live in sin.”

“A choice they now regret!” Charlie defends.

“It takes a lot more than regret to be forgiven.” Uriel says coldly. “It takes remorse.”

Gabriel chimes in, “she has a point, Charlie. It’s easy to make someone regret their actions, but to have them feel true selfless remorse, that is much more difficult.”

Charlie furrows her brow and starts to look defeated.

“But perhaps not impossible.”

Charlie beams with excitement. Gabriel explains that this is a big decision, too big to be made right now, but if she can successfully redeem one demon, they will allow her to come to heaven and pitch her idea to the entire Angelic court. Uriel tries to argue, but Gabriel just says they’ll discuss it later. Charlie gives him a tight hug before he and Uriel disappear.

As she turns to leave, Dumah puts his hand on her shoulder. This is the first time he’s moved in the entire scene. He stares at her coldly and says, “the only reason you’re here is your father has spared you from the executioner’s blade. If I had my way. Each and every one of you would be slaughtered.”

Charlie stares up at him. “I’ll keep that in mind.”

For context, part of the reason Gabriel and Uriel were initially confused by Charlie’s proposal is because they know that Lucifer is trying to keep Hell’s population as high as possible, in preparation for the second war with heaven. That’s why he and the other princes of hell work to manipulate humanity and temp them towards sin (i.e. succubi and incubi). That’s why he arranges marriages between powerful demons to make powerful demon children (i.e. Stolas and Stella). He needs as many demons possible for his army if he’s gonna have a chance at winning. So obviously, sending sinners to heaven, aka the opposing force, is the LAST thing Lucifer would want.
